Why we built this

Institutional desks have risk managers watching every position. Retail traders have willpower — and willpower fails at the worst possible moment.

71%
of first-phase failures are daily-limit breaches — one oversized session
60–70%
of trailing-drawdown liquidations hit right after a trader's best day
75.6%
of traders keep trading past the point they should have stopped

More than software

Two minutes in. A desk behind you.

Everyone else hands you an EA, a settings page and a support queue. Tradefend sets itself up — then puts a funded trader on the other end.

01

Three taps. It's live.

Firm, program, platform — that's the entire setup. The connection builds itself while you watch it go green, usually inside two minutes. Nothing to download, no config files, no API keys to generate, no VPS to rent. Your sign-in is sealed in your browser before it ever reaches us. Then shut the laptop — it keeps running without you.

02

Rules arrive already loaded

We scan every firm's published rules automatically, a human verifies every change, then it ships to your terminal — including the ones your firm changed quietly. You just log in. Today's rulebook is already there.

03

White-glove desk, on standby

Setup runs itself — help never hides behind a form. Message us from your profile or reply to any email we send, and it reaches a desk run by a funded trader. A connection acting up, which drawdown model your account is really on, a firm we don't cover yet — ask. You get a trader's answer, not a ticket number.

Trade like the desk is behind you.

Connect an account in two minutes. The rules are already loaded.

Questions, answered straight

Before you ask.

Does Tradefend place trades on my account?
No — and it can't. Connectors are read-only by architecture. The single write action in the entire product is the flatten — closing positions and cancelling their working orders — and it only exists if you explicitly arm the Breach Guard. Tradefend never opens, adds to, or reverses a position. Ever.
Is Tradefend allowed by my firm?
Risk-management software that reads your account and places no entry orders is generally permitted — firms restrict tools that trade for you, which Tradefend structurally cannot do. The opt-in Breach Guard closes positions only, and automated trade management policies vary by firm, so we flag firms where that needs confirmation and leave the Guard disarmed by default. If in doubt, ask your firm's support in writing and keep the answer.
What's the difference between a daily loss limit and a trailing drawdown — and do you track both?
A daily loss limit resets each trading day; a trailing drawdown follows your equity high and never gives ground back. Most blown accounts die because the trader confused the two — or didn't know whether their firm counts intraday equity or end-of-day balance. Tradefend models both caps, with each firm's exact timing convention, and shows you the binding one at all times.
Which firms are supported?
FTMO, Apex Trader Funding, MyFundedFutures, Tradeify, Lucid Trading, HolaPrime, FundedNext, E8 Markets, The5ers, Take Profit Trader, Alpha Futures and DNA Funded — each modeled per program and phase, with more firms verified and added continuously. Rule sets are re-verified daily. If a firm's rule is ambiguous or unpublished, we model the conservative reading and tell you so, rather than guessing in your favor.
Can I use Tradefend with a live brokerage account instead of a prop firm?
Yes. Pick the live-capital profile, set your own daily and max-loss limits, and Tradefend enforces your discipline exactly the way it enforces a firm's — verdicts, meters, tilt alerts and the optional Guard included.
How fast is the Breach Guard? Will it always save my account?
Honest answer: it's best-effort, and no one can promise more. The Guard acts as worst-case equity approaches a buffered threshold before your firm's hard line, so there's cushion for execution. In fast or gapping markets no software — ours or anyone's — can guarantee a fill in time. Anyone who promises otherwise is selling you something.
Will it work with my EA, algo or trade copier?
Yes. Tradefend reads account state — it doesn't care who placed the trades. Positions opened by an EA or copier count against your caps just like manual ones, which is exactly why you want a second pair of eyes on them.
What access do you actually have to my account?
A read-only, revocable key that streams balance, equity and positions. Keys are stored hashed; you can cut access in one click from your platform at any time. If — and only if — you arm Breach Guard, Tradefend can additionally submit position-closing orders on that account. We never see your platform password, and we never sell or share your trading data.
What happens when my firm changes its rules?
Rule sets are reviewed daily and re-shipped the moment a firm changes its fine print — the terminal updates without you touching anything. When a firm publishes something ambiguous, we flag it as unverified and model the stricter interpretation until it's confirmed.
Which platforms do you support?
MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5, Tradovate, TradeLocker, cTrader and NinjaTrader. Each has a lightweight connector that installs in about two minutes — no VPS required.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes — one click, online, no retention maze, no "call us to cancel." Monthly plans run to the end of the month; annual plans run to the end of the paid year, and you get a reminder before every yearly renewal.
