Risk Disclosures
Tradefend is independent analytical software. It is not a broker, futures commission merchant, retail foreign-exchange dealer, exchange member or proprietary trading firm, and it does not direct or manage customer accounts. Nothing on this website or in the Tradefend application constitutes investment, financial, trading, tax or legal advice, or a recommendation to buy, sell or hold any futures contract, currency pair or other financial instrument.
Risk disclosure. Futures, foreign currency and options trading contains substantial risk and is not for every investor. An investor could potentially lose all or more than their initial investment. Risk capital is money that can be lost without jeopardizing one's financial security or lifestyle; only risk capital should be used for trading. Past performance is not necessarily indicative of future results.
Breach Guard is best-effort. Breach Guard is an optional, user-configured automation provided on a best-effort, "not held" basis. It can only submit position-closing orders; it does not open trades — and it acts only if you enable it and configure its thresholds yourself. It cannot guarantee execution, timing or price, particularly in fast or illiquid markets. Automated trade management may be restricted by some firms; confirm your firm's terms before arming.
Hypothetical performance disclosure (CFTC Rule 4.41). Hypothetical performance results have many inherent limitations, some of which are described below. No representation is being made that any account will or is likely to achieve profits or losses similar to those shown; in fact, there are frequently sharp differences between hypothetical performance results and the actual results subsequently achieved by any particular trading program. One of the limitations of hypothetical performance results is that they are generally prepared with the benefit of hindsight. In addition, hypothetical trading does not involve financial risk, and no hypothetical trading record can completely account for the impact of financial risk of actual trading. The ability to withstand losses or to adhere to a particular trading program in spite of trading losses are material points which can also adversely affect actual trading results. There are numerous other factors related to the markets in general or to the implementation of any specific trading program which cannot be fully accounted for in the preparation of hypothetical performance results and all which can adversely affect trading results.
Simulated data. Product imagery on this page shows simulated data for illustration only. Simulated results have inherent limitations and do not represent actual trading — full hypothetical-performance disclosure.
* MetaTrader. MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5 connect through a connector that runs on your own device, not on Tradefend's servers. If that computer is off or asleep, or MetaTrader is closed, the feed stops. Breach Guard can be switched on for MetaTrader, but it can act only while that computer is awake and MetaTrader is open and connected. A VPS is the trader's own arrangement. MetaTrader is a trademark of MetaQuotes Ltd.
